Challenge
KJ Fire Safety faced significant issues with heat and glare, which impacted staff comfort and productivity. The intense glare caused by direct sunlight made it difficult for staff to work efficiently, especially during peak daylight hours. While seeking a solution, it was important for the business to retain a certain level of visibility for potential clients, ensuring the property did not appear unwelcoming or excessively private.
Solution
To address the challenge, a tailored window film solution was implemented:
Dual Reflective 20: Installed on the top row of windows, this film reduced heat and glare significantly while maintaining outward visibility.
Neutral 35: Applied to the bottom row, this lighter film allowed more natural light to filter through, reducing the internal reflection and providing a balanced privacy level suitable for potential client engagement.
Results
Glare Reduction: The window film effectively cut down the glare, alleviating discomfort for the staff and creating a more conducive work environment.
Heat Control: The film helped in maintaining a cooler indoor temperature, which was previously exacerbated by solar heat gain through the windows.
Optimal Light Balance: The combination of films ensured that natural light was still abundant, without the negative impacts of full transparency.
Aesthetic and Functionality: The property maintained its aesthetic appeal and functional visibility for welcoming clients.
